Due: WIP Project 2 (rated in Lightroom)first 75 / Response 2
Class: In class Exercise: Make a series of images of the same subject showing changes in depth of field - (shallow depth of field and deep (wide) depth of field)
These exposure groups should be taken from exactly the same position - they should look the same except for the change in depth of field. Be sure to check your light meter to avoid over and underexposure. Make sure you have the correct white balance.
Focus on the subject and shoot first with your aperture setting as wide as your camera permits (F1.2 or f/5/6). For the second shot change the aperture on your lens and close it down to the maximum possible for your camera (F16 or F/22) Change the shutter speed to allow sufficient light for proper exposure.
Remember that changing the focal length (Zooming the lens) will affect the changes in depth of field.
